Spinal Flow®

Spinal Flow®

Release tension. Reconnect with your body. Return to flow.

Stress can be experienced in many ways.

You may notice it as physical tension, a busy mind, emotional overwhelm, fatigue, shallow breathing or the feeling that your body is constantly bracing.

Over time, it can become difficult to remember what genuine ease feels like.

Spinal Flow® is a gentle, hands-on technique that works with the spine and nervous system. Using light contact at specific access points, the process invites the body to soften areas of tension and reconnect with the ease and openness already present within it.

There is no forceful manipulation, cracking or pressure.

Instead, Spinal Flow® works with the body’s own responses—creating space for greater connection, relaxation and flow.

What to Expect

You will remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on a treatment table.

Before we begin, we take time to discuss how you have been feeling physically, emotionally and energetically. This allows the session to be guided by what your body may need most on the day.

Using gentle contact, I work with specific Spinal Flow® access points located primarily around the sacrum, coccyx and cranium.

These access points are areas of relative ease within the body. By connecting with them, we invite the nervous system to recognise and build upon the ease that is already available.

During a session, you may experience:

• Deep relaxation or a quietening of the mind
• Warmth, tingling or a sense of energy moving
• Softening through the muscles or breath
• Gentle, spontaneous movements within the body
• Emotional release or a feeling of spaciousness
• Greater awareness of your spine and body
• A sense of lightness, grounding or reconnection

Some people notice clear sensations during their session, while others experience a subtle sense of rest and stillness.

There is no correct way for your body to respond. Every session and every person is different.

The Seven Gateways of the Spine

Within the Spinal Flow® system, the spine is viewed through seven areas known as the Gateways of the Spine.

These gateways provide a framework for observing where physical, emotional or chemical stress may be reflected within the body.

Rather than forcing tense areas to change, Spinal Flow® begins by connecting with areas of ease. Gentle contact at the access points invites the body to bring greater awareness, communication and movement through the spine.

The intention is to work with your body—not against it.

The Spinal Wave

The Spinal Wave is a signature element of the Spinal Flow® Technique.

It describes the natural movement and flow that may become visible or perceptible through the spine as the body responds to gentle contact.

For some people, this may appear as subtle movement, changes in breathing or a sense of energy flowing through the body. For others, the response may be quieter and experienced as deep relaxation or internal softening.

The experience is unique to each individual and may change from one session to the next.

Supporting the Body’s Innate Intelligence

Spinal Flow® is based on the principle that the body possesses an innate intelligence and an inherent capacity to move towards balance and regulation.

The practitioner does not force the body to change.

Instead, gentle contact creates an invitation for the body to recognise areas of ease, soften protective patterns and reconnect with its natural capacity for movement and flow.

Your body is not passive within the process. Its responses guide the session.

How Spinal Flow® May Support You

Spinal Flow® may support:

• Deep relaxation and nervous-system regulation

Experiences and outcomes vary. Some people notice a difference during their first session, while for others the process unfolds gradually over a series of sessions.

This Session May Be for You If…

You have been experiencing:

• Stress, overwhelm or difficulty slowing down
• Physical tension or a sense of bracing
• Fatigue or nervous-system depletion
• Disconnection from your body
• Difficulty settling into rest
• Emotional heaviness or feeling stuck
• A desire for greater ease, grounding and connection

You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what your body needs.

The invitation is simply to slow down, become present and allow your body to respond in its own way.

Spinal Flow® With Nic

My approach is nurturing, intuitive and deeply grounded in creating a sense of safety.

I listen not only to what you share, but also to the subtle ways your body communicates throughout the session.

There is nothing to force and nowhere you have to get to.

Together, we create a calm and supportive space where you can soften, receive and reconnect with yourself.

For me, Spinal Flow® is a beautiful reminder that the body carries its own wisdom. When we slow down enough to listen, we create space for something different to emerge.

Your body does not need to be pushed into change. Sometimes it simply needs to feel supported enough to soften.
